SAMA publishes both a hardcopy version of Velocity® and also a Web version. All ads purchased will appear in both the printed hardcopy and in the Web version. Those who purchase back cover and inside front or back cover ads will be considered issue sponsors. Those who purchase inside full, half and quarter page ads will be considered article sponsors.

SAMA does not sell 4-color ads in the body of the magazine. The back cover, inside front and back covers of the magazine will remain available for 4-color ads. Ad rates will go up as compensation for our inclusion of the ad in both the print version and the Web version. See below for updated ad rates.

An ad in Velocity®, SAMA’s quarterly magazine, gives you the only opportunity to directly reach Strategic and Global Account Professionals. This publication is also received by senior executives from Fortune 500 companies, leading academic institutions and trade publications.

Advertisers of Velocity® are referred to as “sponsors” who have the option of sponsoring either the entire issue or individual articles. The publication is distributed in part via an HTML e-mail containing a link to the entire issue in PDF format. This “issue cover page” also contains the Table of Contents with links to the “article cover page” of each individual article. These article cover pages, in turn, contain links to the PDF version of each article.

  • 1st Quarter 2006: December 15, 2005
  • 2nd Quarter 2006: February 21, 2006
  • 3rd Quarter 2006: May 29, 2006
  • 4th Quarter 2006: September 19, 2006

  • Issue Sponsors receive:
  • Full page ad, Inside front or back cover, of full printed issue
  • Masthead logo / ad placement on all HTML pages
  • Links from each logo / URL to site of choice (typically sponsor home page)
  • URL link in footer of every page of entire PDF issue
  • All ads will remain “live” (active) once article is placed in SAMA’s online library
  • Listing on “About Our Sponsors” page

    Article sponsors receive:
  • Full page 2C ad in print version
  • Full page ad in sponsored article and full issue of PDF
  • Prominent ad placement on sponsored article cover page Web version
  • Links from each logo to site of choice (typically sponsor home page)
  • All ads will remain “live” (active) once article is placed in SAMA’s online library
  • Listing on “About Our Sponsors” page

    Electronic Submissions for Print
    File Formats Accepted:

  • Quark Xpress or InDesign, with all links, graphics, and Macintosh font files
  • Photoshop TIFF or EPS file, rasterize all type
  • Illustrator EPS, with type converted to outlines
  • Match print with all ad submissions required

    Ad Size and Color:

  • 2-color printing processes (Panatone coated 654 and black) or 4-color process (cmyk)
  • See ad sizes in the rate table
    IMPORANT: add 1/8" around each border for ads that are intended to bleed off the page

    File Resolution Output Size:

  • 300dpi - 600dpi
  • Submissions on Film:

  • Separated film with a match print included
  • Right-reading emulsion side down negatives
  • Maximum line screen = 150

    Submission Details for Web:
    Full-page Ad Submissions:

  • Ads must be submitted in PDF format
  • Fonts must be embedded in the PDF
  • File Resolution Output Size: 72-150 dpi
  • All ads are 8.5” x 11”

    HTML Ad Submissions:
  • All Electronic ads must be submitted as either a JPG or GIF file, if animated, a GIF file.
  • Issue Sponsors: File size: 10k or less 234 x 60 pixels
  • Article Sponsors: File size: 12k or less 180 x 150 pixels

    Corporate Logo Submissions:
  • Logos must be submitted as:
  • Photoshop / Illustrator EPS or
  • Photoshop TIF or Illustrator .ai
  • All type must be converted

  • A 50% deposit must be paid on sponsored articles beyond the forthcoming issue. A penalty will be applied to sponsors withdrawing from sponsorship commitment beyond forthcoming issue.

    Maximum of 2 article sponsors & 3 issue sponsors
