President & CEO
Nicholas H. Ward is President and CEO of SMI-2, widely regarded as a thought leader in the world of sales, he is a frequent speaker at the Strategic Account Management Association and various industry groups.

Prior to SMI-2, Nick was General Manager - Financial Services, Global Banking Strategies for Siebel Systems and was the former President and Chief Executive Officer of MOHR Development, a premier sales consulting and training firm acquired by Siebel Systems.

He spearheaded his company's work in helping companies such as Frito Lay, Johnson and Johnson, Wells Fargo, Wachovia, PricewaterhouseCoopers, US Foods, Sun Microsystems, Hewlett Packard and Rockwell International transform their sales efforts in a world of multiple channels and rapidly changing customer expectations.

In conjunction with Dr. Bernard Rosenbaum and SAMA, he authored the groundbreaking study on Emerging Sales Competencies for the 21st Century , the most significant quantitative research into sales effectiveness conducted in the last twenty years. Comprised of hundreds of interviews and observations and more than 15,000 data points, the study has been heralded for the clarity with which it revealed a roadmap for sales success in a world of rapidly changing buying processes.
